Description
A legendary wine dating back to the days when Olssens owned the vineyards, Slapjack Creek vineyard was planted in 1991 and is the benchmark wine from the property. A combination of glacial schist and deep pockets of clay, the wine is made in only very small quantities and ages magnificently. One of the best Pinots in Bannockburn.
Smells
Complex herbal and earthy notes on the nose, with wood smoke, cherries and red currants.
Tastes
Succulent and very richly fruited, the palate has a subtle wild thyme note and elegant herbal thread, the tannins very fine and perfectly harmonious. Fully mature now, its drinking beautifully now through to 2025.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
