Description
Delas has enjoyed a massive resurgence since being acquired by the famous Louis Roederer Champagne House quite a few years back. The subsequent and significant investment in vineyards, new oak and complete winery refurbishment has seen their wines experience a quantum jump in quality without a matching price increase. And at sub $21, this is the quintessential BBQ wine.
Smells
enticing aromas of red and dark fruits, cinnamon, pink peppercorns, and hints of pink smoker lollies with crushed thyme nuances.
Tastes
everything we love about Syrah comes through here, an array of ripe and less ripe flavours, raspberries, and liquorice through to plums with a spicy touch, adding intrigue. The palate has density with firm tannins and obvious acid giving balance and most importantly drinkability, all making this an excellent food wine. Drinking well now through 2026.
