Description
From some of the oldest vines in Martinborough, Palliser Estate Chardonnay is the very definition of an elegant, yet full-bodied Chardonnay. 100% barrel fermented and aged on lees, that creaminess transfers through to the palate, but removing the wine from barrel after 8 months has preserved the integrity and pre-eminence of the fruit. A glorious Chardonnay that's 5 Stars in anyone's books, it will cellar through 2028.
Smells
High tones of lemon meringue pie, peach, vanilla, and toast and refreshing notes of roasted fennel and butterscotch.
Tastes
Full-bodied and nicely concentrated, the creamy mouthfeel is a pleasure to behold, with subtle mineral and toast notes on the peachy finish. Exemplary from start to finish, it will be amazing with seafood or poultry between now and 2028.
