Description
Delicious Chardonnay from Hawke's Bay Chardonnay legends - Clearview. The maritime influence of their Te Awanga vineyards has once again produced exceptional fruit of great intensity. The ripe grapes were gently pressed, settled and then fermented in both stainless-steel tanks and older seasoned French oak barrels. Lees aging and malolactic fermentation was used to create additional complexity, softness and texture.
Smells
Notes of ripe peach, nectarine and citrus blossom are underpinned by hints of toasted nuts, nougat and baking spices.
Tastes
Deliciously nutty, there’s a rich core of ripe peach, melon and honeysuckle on the palate which complement the gentle biscuity oak and ripe mouthwatering acids. Crafted in a fruit first style with subtle oak complexity and textures… enjoy as a young Chardonnay through 2024-2025.
