There is always an extra layer of interest to Framingham wines, and now in the very capable hands of Andrew Brown, the wines seem to have got even better, if that was at all possible. Framingham says ‘we make wine by our own rules’ and that is certainly paying off for them when you taste this Chardonnay. Rule No.6 - Have it both ways - a nod to the distinct creamy, buttery styles vs the fruity elegant styles of Chardonnay. One half of the fruit underwent full-barrel fermentation adding the creamy, nutty complexities and the other is aged in stainless steel tanks on lees for 8 months allowing the purity of fruit to shine. Combine both these parcels at the end and you have the best of both worlds.

Peaches and grapefruit, with almond meal and vanilla.

Fleshy and full of delicious biscuity and grilled nut flavours, the stone fruit and grapefruit profiles flood the long, complex finish. Beautiful texture, great concentration, capturing the essence of harmony. This is an amazing amount of wine for the money, yet again emphasising the hard-earned reputation of this outstanding producer that goes from strength to strength. Serve with roast chicken or pork belly and your taste buds will melt. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
