A shipment bound for the Netherlands is about to become your next favourite Chardonnay! Made from clone 95 and Mendoza sourced from a single vineyard close to where the Wairau and Waihopai River join. Lovingly crafted using techniques influenced by the old-world, but with the vibrant fruit of Marlborough, it has seen 25% new French oak for 8 months with a portion undergoing MLF. This 2022 Chardonnay is elegant yet concentrated, with intense fruit, perfect for drinking over the next 12 months, but will cellar beautifully as well. It is offered via our “Hidden Label” program to protect winemaker from negative brand impact from being left in the lurch by a overseas importer. You know the drill… order on trust, when this gorgeous Chardonnay arrives at your door it will be wearing its original label, and once you try you’ll be as excited as we were when we tasted it!

A beautifully proportioned nose showing ripe nectarines, apricot, lemon and grapefruit zest with oatmeal and roasted almonds.

Vibrant and alive, generously fruited with a lovely, nougat character and a long, refined finish. A very polished palate with a persistent finish. It is drinking well now, but can age well until 2028. Enjoy is chicken and firmer white flesh fish.
