Description

Pegasus Bay is a Top 20 NZ winery and a prized premium Kiwi wine label. It’s the same winemaking team and passion utilizing abundant estate grown older grapes and long term growers’ vineyards... behind the impressive Main Divide wines. The success of Pegasus Bay allows them the latitude and resource to display their winemaking wizardry in a wine price category often lacking in complexity, style and weight... which is why Main Divide wines have a prolific award history and are so popular with Kiwi wine drinkers. This latest Main Divide Chardonnay is made from mature vine fruit using old-world techniques, including wild fermentation and lees stirring to create wines with richness, intrigue and style. It exhibits all the generosity, purity and structure of the 2020 vintage.

Smells

Abundant apricot and peach aromas infused with subtle toasty oak and smoky and flinty struck match complexities.

Tastes

The palate has good concentration, length and poise with a refreshing acid that invigorates the tastebuds and gives energy to the wonderfully creamy, buttery textures. The ripe stone fruits are tinged with ginger spice and fennel and balanced by a flinty finish with plenty of drive and complexity. Great with roast pork & chicken or richer seafoods now through 2027.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
