Description
Man O’ War vineyards are scattered over selected hillside sites across the Southeastern end of Waiheke Island, the positioning of the vineyards is generally precipitous and dramatic; as a result, the wines have unique flavours, minerality and a sometimes touch of drama.
Smells
Roasted Macadamia nut, fine citrus, flaky pastry, and nougat come to mind.
Tastes
The palate has a fleshy core of very fresh fruits; white stone fruits, pineapple, and grapefruit to the fore. A crunchy texture and fine acids give it purpose and extended length allowing the spice, pastry, nut, and nougat notes to gel perfectly culminating in a salivating finish. Drink now, or cellar until 2027, with BBQ chicken.
