Description
Demand for big, rich and creamy Californian Chardonnays is through the roof, and this Monterey Peninsula grown 2020 Pacificana ticks all the boxes! The warm days of Monterey ripen the fruit perfectly and the cool coastal night-time breezes elevate the levels of natural acidity to give the wine important structure. Barrel fermented, aged on lees, then stir in the perfect amount of American oak and you end up with a beautifully fresh fruited Chardonnay laced with vanilla, butterscotch and toast in a creamy, salivating palate.
Smells
Ripe yellow-fleshed stone fruit, namely peach, nectarine and apricot, intertwined with butter popcorn, pineapple and vanilla.
