Postage Stamp Wines Ariki Special Release Chardonnay 2020 is an opulent, powerful, Prestige Waiheke Chardonnay, a total indulgence that you would not rightly expect in your glass at just $24.99… but for this staggering CLEARANCE! Ariki means “Chief” in Māori and refers to a classic yacht, built in 1904 by the Logan Brothers, and restored in 2016. You will still find her racing in Waitemata Harbour to this day! Now back to the wine. Made in only the very best years, this 2020 Chardonnay comes from two sloping, free draining, closely planted Waiheke vineyards delivering naturally low and concentrated fruit yields. Handpicked grapes are whole bunch pressed, the juice barrel fermented and aged in expensive French Oak, with the full MLF treatment. Postage Stamp Wines Ariki Special Release Chardonnay is opulent, abounding with stonefruit layered with brioche, hazelnut, subtle freshly whipped butter, toast & spice oak/lees aging complexities. From the outstanding 2020 vintage, 4+ years old it’s in a seductive state of being, staggering Prestige Waiheke Island Chardonnay drinking at just $24.99!
