Description
Terra Sancta produce three incredibly different single vineyard Pinot Noirs designed to highlight the unique terroirs Central Otago has to offer. Even though their three single vineyard wines are produced within one sub-region, Bannockburn, these three different sites express themselves in vastly unique ways. Their Slapjack Pinot Noir is produced from the very first ever vines planted in Bannockburn. Made to be opulent and hedonistic, it is a powerful and brooding Pinot Noir that is absolutely spectacular.
Smells
Intensely powerful blackberries, liquorice, and black tea, with touches of slightly lifted cherry and herbal notes. Incredibly expressive, this wine has a lot to offer.
Tastes
Rich, wild berries, blackcurrant, and cherries, with a powerful line of bewitching spices. The tannin holds the wine in place perfectly, and it manages to come across with everything in harmonious balance even whilst being so powerful and opulent. A hedonistic dream, drink this now or feel free to cellar away for 8-10 years. An ideal partner to gamey meats.
