Up to $41.99... last 112 dozen at $29.99

The striking Organic Neudorf Rosie's Block vineyard has come of age – next vintage moving up to the Prestige Moutere label... the price will rise accordingly

Part of the 1970's Nelson Wine Pioneers, Neil and Judy Finn have worked tirelessly for decades to carve out a global reputation for making world-class wines, led by their stunning Chardonnay. From the 2019 vintage (the vines have come of age) Rosie’s Block will join Neudorf’s Prestige Moutere label and be known as “Neudorf Moutere Rosie’s Block Chardonnay” and with that a well-deserved price rise. Fine Wine Delivery have bought the last 112 dozen of the 4 x 5 Star 2018 Neudorf Rosie’s Block Chardonnay and are offering it at the stunning one-off price of $29.99... a saving of $12.00 from its elsewhere price of $41.99/bottle. This will prove one of the great Premium Chardonnay bargains you will have ever bought.

Master of Wine Jancis Robinson describes them as one of New Zealand's most admired producers. And they have certainly worked hard to create a business model that sees their wines in hot demand globally.

Bob Campbell MW says... "I cannot think of another New Zealand wine producer that has been making top wines across their entire range as consistently as Neudorf over three decades. Chardonnay is the star with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc very close behind."

Rosie's Block is named after Neil and Judy's daughter. It is a block that originally neighbored theirs, and they purchased it from ancestors of the early German settlers, the Beuke Family in 1999. This makes it a considerably younger vineyard than the rest of their Moutere Range. They introduced this under a different label to allow the vineyard to establish itself, realising there would be a period when the fruit was far more fresh and vibrant until it gained sufficient vine age. And they priced it accordingly. A slightly elevated site that sits looking over the Home Block with the same Moutere Clay base that produce stunning textural wines. It is North Facing, planted mostly in Chardonnay and is organically managed like the rest of the Neudorf Moutere vineyards.

2018 Rosie's Block Chardonnay is very Chablis inspired. It has an orchard full of deliciously ripe stone-fruit, but it's kept in check by an outstanding balance of salivating wet stone like minerality. It has been barrel fermented - 15% of which was brand new French oak, but once again that balance has meant it is seamlessly integrated to give a beautiful nuttiness and subtle spice character. Nothing about the components of this wine overwhelm, rather they are all there to create layers that unfurl with each sip.

With outstanding critics scores of 93, 94, and 95 out of 100, it is a bargain of epic proportions at $29.99... and your very last chance to secure a Neudorf Chardonnay in this price bracket... a handsome saving from its $41.99 elsewhere price too. This is a wine of the ages made by a team committed to mastering their craft and honing it with every vintage.

Be quick to secure your share of these final 112 cases before Rosie's makes the well deserved move up to Neudorf’s Prestige Moutere label! Enjoy, Jeff

Named after the Finns daughter, Rosie’s Block was purchased from the Beuke family in 1999 and planted that same year... further added to in 2003, 2009 and 2013. A corridor of recently planted wetlands extends down into the strikingly beautiful, gently undulating, dry farmed (no irrigation), organically managed vineyard. Winemaking is very similar to Moutere – 100% malolactic fermentation and only about 15 % new oak… resulting in a Chardonnay with great body, fine complexities, elegance and Chablis like freshness. It will age superbly and find that perfect place between youth and maturity circa 2020-2022. However, don’t be shy to open tonight, it's fine acidity will work beautifully with poultry/pork and a wide range of seafoods.

Fresh peach, apricot and nectarine with white flowers and seductive nutty aromas.

Very elegant palate, with finely creamed texture embracing ripe, richly flavoured stone fruits. The oak is subtle with fine nutty and spice complexities emerging throughout the mid/back palates. A gorgeous body of flavour threaded and underpinned with delicate freshness. It will be at its best 2020-2022 but is very attractive on release.
